HURRY!This class is filling up by popular demand! Lucy Parker, a descendant of the Yosemite Indians, offers this course in Tuolumne Meadows on how to make an acorn basket.
These large baskets were made for gathering and transporting acorns. Lucy and her mother, Julia and daughter, Ursula, will demonstrate weaving techniques and help students start their own baskets.
Yosemite basket traditions and history will be discussed throughout the class.
Materials are included and each student should be able to finish their basket. The YA member price is $298.
